Andrew Ramsden

Solicitor

Andrew is a South African national who studied law in the UK and qualified as an English solicitor into the Insolvency department in 2011 after joining FWJ in 2009.

Andrew has experience in both the Insolvency and Insolvency Litigation departments. His non-contentious experience includes assisting in: appointing office holders, reviewing the validity of the various appointments, drafting asset and going concern sale agreements, the registration of charges over properties and against companies, and a range of property issues.

Andrew recently joined the Insolvency Litigation department and assists in relation to all aspects of non-contentious insolvency. In particular defending injunction applications, actions against directors for misfeasance, actions for the recovery of property (transactions at an undervalue, preferences and transactions defrauding creditors), actions for the recovery of the office holders’ costs, as well as responding to creditor challenges to the level of the office holders’ remuneration, making and defending bankruptcy annulment applications.

Andrew is a keen sports enthusiast and always finds time to watch the 'Boks' in action.
