Sally Bradshaw

Senior Associate Solicitor

Sally is a senior associate with FWJ and has over 20 years City experience in finance law, including asset finance and secured lending, property and banking, and has specialised for the last 10 years in insolvency and asset based lending. She is an associate member of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.

As the senior solicitor in the Insolvency team, Sally works with all the members of the team advising insolvency practitioners appointed by either secured creditors or directors on all aspects of their appointment. In particular, Sally advises on corporate issues in relation to as company’s capacity to appoint insolvency practitioners and the validity of security, as well as on a range of property related issues facing administrators such as the repossession of premises and sale of land. Recent experience has included advising on the trading by administrators of an import/ retail business and several licensed premises. Sally has also advised the former directors of companies in liquidation on the use of prohibited names and successfully obtained court orders to terminate administrations early in exceptional circumstances.

Sally has considerable experience writing and presenting on the legal issues affecting insolvency practitioners to lawyers, insolvency practitioners and financiers. She regularly writes on insolvency topics for the business press, finance industry and legal journals. Sally is FWJ’s training manager and runs internal and client legal training seminars.

Sally was educated at the British School of Brussels and has an MA in Business Law. She is a volunteer gardener for English Heritage at Down House (the home of Charles Darwin) and is currently learning Italian.
