Jodi Tierney

Partner, Litigation

Jodi Tierney, is specialist in contentious ABL work, and has advised clients in the ABL industry since 1999, first as a solicitor at Wildes, and latterly as a senior associate in Hammonds London based Asset Based Lending Litigation practice.

Jodi joined FWJ in January 2009 as a Partner in the Litigation team. Jodi experience covers all areas of receivable finance work, from customer and client actions of all sizes, as well as larger scale fraud and asset tracing claims. She is experienced in advising Asset Based Lenders at “the first sign of trouble” and providing strategic advice to enable the most effective recovery plan is implemented without delay.

Jodi's recent experience includes:-
  • A £500,000 credit insurance fraud by an ABL's client.
  • A £700,000 fraud for an ABL client which involved successful recovery against the indemnifiers and their associates.
  • An £850,000 indemnifier action for an ABL involving the failure of the client company to supply the services it represented to do pursuant to the necessary legislation in place at the time.

Jodi studied Law at Leicester University and gained a 2(i) degree in 1993. After a year out working as a care assistant to the elderly, she undertook the Legal Practice Course and obtained a distinction from De Montfort University. Jodi is married and lives with her husband and two young daughters in Kent. In her spare time, she likes horse riding, skiing, watching all types of sport (particularly rugby), entertaining friends and family, fine dining and going on holiday.
