Why the client needed our help

Our client, a well-known invoice finance company, wanted urgent help recovering a significant debt of £212,536 from a debtor.

How we helped

Following the debtor’s refusal to respond to our letter before action, we served a winding up petition on them.

The outcome

Payment was soon received from the debtor and, as part of the overall settlement, we also ensured that our client’s legal costs were paid in full. This meant that the debt was recovered at zero cost to our client.

Once the debt and costs were paid in full, the winding up petition was dismissed from court and our client’s money fully protected – we ensured that the petition could not be supported by another creditor or taken out of our control.

Extremely thorough, professional and speedy, and the fees were much more reasonable than the competition. Highly recommended

A private client we assisted with issuing a winding-up petition to recover debts

We used Francis Wilks & Jones to recover outstanding invoices. Andy and Hardeep worked quickly to get all the legal documents sent out. We recovered all the outstanding invoices and the legal costs, this essentially put us at net-zero in terms of costs which was great. They were also able to recover late payment interest and late payment compensation for us as well.
