After the debtor refused to respond to a letter before action, the decision was taken to issue and serve a winding up petition on them.
The outcome / significance to the client
Payment was successfully received from the debtor following service of the winding up petition.
As part of the overall settlement, we also ensured that our client’s legal costs were paid in full which meant that the debt was recovered at zero cost to our client.
Once the debt and costs were paid in full, the winding up petition was dismissed from court and our client’s money safeguarded in full.
