Why the client needed our help

Our client, the director of a large, successful restaurant, was subject to disqualification proceedings having been accused of not paying tax to HMRC while trading at his previous company. Avoiding disqualification was essential for the survival of his restaurant and the employment of all its staff.

How we helped

We set about building a robust defence which included undermining the Secretary of State’s case by highlighting flaws in the accountancy elements.

The outcome

We succeeded in getting the proceedings dropped days before the trial. Our client was able to continue directing his restaurant and keep its staff in employment.

I would strongly recommend using FWJ for director disqualification matters. Tactically and commercially they played it just right and I am now able to get on with my business life without the worry of disqualification hanging over me.
