Why the client needed our help

Our client, an estate agent chain, was being pursued by HMRC for various tax securities following the failure of a previous company. They wanted our advice on the relevant tax legislation, potential penalties that could be imposed and risks to the company being able to continue trading.

How we helped

Using our vast expertise in tax legislation, we guided the client through negotiations with HMRC and corresponded with them on the company’s behalf, ultimately appealing to HMRC to withdraw its demands.

The outcome

The negotiations were successful and resulted in HMRC withdrawing all demands. The company was able to continue trading without this burden hanging over it.

FWJ did precisely what it set out to do. I am extremely grateful for its assistance.

A client who had received a Request for Security from HMRC for a sum that would have caused their company severe financial difficulties. We helped them to have the entire bill withdrawn
