This law firm client was stuck with unpaid legal fees from an ex-client who would not engage.
How we helped
We initially sent a letter before action to their client who responded stating he was bankrupt. We made contact with the Insolvency Service to make them aware of our client’s claim. An Administrator was subsequently appointed and confirmed that as part of the divorce proceedings the Bankrupt’s ex-wife had been ordered to pay the costs, claims and expenses of the bankruptcy in full.
The outcome / significance to the client
Our client was paid in full for their fees and all costs relating to the claim.
