Why the client needed our help
Our client, an individual, was being chased for payment of an invoice which had nothing to do with him and this had recently escalated into the serving of a statutory demand against him. The law firm behind the demand had been instructed by his wife on a piece of litigation and she too disputed the invoice.
How we helped
We soon deduced that the law firm was playing hard ball and trying to pressure our client into paying the invoice – there was never a contract or signed retainer in place between them and his wife. We set about getting the firm to back down.
The outcome
We succeeded. The law firm withdrew the the statutory demand (and the threat of bankruptcy) against our client. This left him to continue to personal and business life, free from the threats made by the law firm.
Extremely thorough, professional and speedy, and the fees were much more reasonable than the competition. Highly recommended.
