Why the client needed our help

Our clients, a father and son who were directors of a very successful company, were facing prosecution from Companies House for failing to file the company’s accounts on three separate occasions: Companies are legally required to file their accounts annually, adhering to strict deadlines. They were very worried about the prospect of director disqualification orders against them.

How we helped

We persuaded the Magistrates Court, where their hearing took place, that it was not in the public interest – and therefore unnecessary – to disqualify the pair as directors.

The outcome

Our clients avoided a potential disqualification period of up to five years. They were allowed to continue acting as directors and running their business, which employed over 200 staff.

Our clients were delighted with the outcome.

I was delighted by the work done by the team at FWJ and cannot recommend them highly enough. Their legal and tactical knowledge was spot on. I can now continue to grow my business free from the worry of my original disqualification.
