Our client needed urgent help recovering £33,086 from a debtor.
How we helped
The debtor refused to respond to a letter before action and so a decision was taken to issue and serve a winding up petition as a way of maximising pressure on them to pay.
The outcome
Payment was subsequently received from the debtor.
As part of the overall settlement, we also ensured that our client’s legal costs were paid in full, which meant that they paid nothing to recover their debt.
Once the debt and costs were paid in full, the winding up petition was dismissed from court and our client’s money fully safeguarded.
We were careful to ensure that the petition could not be used by another creditor or taken out of our control.
