What is the County Court Money Claims Centre?

The CCMCC was set up to attempt to centralise some administrative functions of issuing a claim and manages the early stages of the claims including admissions, default judgments, acknowledgement of service, defences and allocation questionnaires.

Note that the CCMCC only deals with money claims that are made on paper. If you make a money claim online, via Money Claims OnLine (MCOL), then your claim will be processed by the county court Business Centre (CCBC), which is based in Northampton.

Court fees are slightly higher if you issue a claim on paper as opposed to issuing the claim via MCOL. For a list of the current claim issue fees read How much does it cost to issue a county court claim?
