Eleanor Stephens

Eleanor is a consultant to the firm who supports our Business Recovery and Insolvency team.

Eleanor qualified in 1998, and over the years she has acted for administrators, official receivers, liquidators, trustees in bankruptcy, company directors, bankrupts and others in a wide range of industries and areas, including directors disqualification proceedings. Eleanor has experience in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency issues in corporate and personal insolvencies.

For many years Eleanor led the Recovery & Insolvency team and latterly the Dispute Resolution team incorporating the R&I team, as a partner at Asb Law. During this time she acted for the Department of Business Innovation and Skills in disqualifying company directors for the Secretary of State.

Prior to joining Francis Wilks & Jones, Eleanor worked as a solicitor at Lexis Nexis, recruited to set up and lead a team of insolvency lawyers to write Lexis PSL Restructuring & Insolvency, writing on-line news, guidance and precedents for insolvency lawyers and insolvency practitioners.

Eleanor now works as a freelance solicitor, and continues to write for Lexis Nexis as well as supporting the Business Recovery and Insolvency Team at Francis Wilks & Jones.

When not working, Eleanor and her husband are busy exploring the world with their cocker spaniel, and trying to learn a few new languages along the way
