Mark is an associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. He joined Francis Wilks & Jones in February 2017, having spent the previous 15 years at various firms in the City of London, West End and East Sussex.
Mark has a broad experience in both commercial and property litigation and has acted for both individuals and companies over the years achieving many successful results.
Over the years, Mark has acted in all kinds of commercial disputes, including shareholder and employment disputes, breach of contract claims and credit card/travellers cheque fraud cases. He was also involved in a large corporate manslaughter claim which concluded in a four-day inquest.
Mark’s other main focus of practice has been in the area of professional negligence. For a number of years, he acted for many banks, building societies and other lenders in claims against solicitors and surveyors arising out of residential conveyancing transactions.
Mark continues to assist financial institutions as part of the firm’s Asset Based Lending team as well as being involved in many debt recovery claims on behalf of the firms’ clients.
Mark is a strong believer in the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and has been involved with and conducted successful mediations on behalf of his clients.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports, including golf and football. He is also the firm’s resident baker.
