We were instructed to send a letter before action. As payment was not forthcoming, we went on to serve a statutory demand and subsequently a bankruptcy petition.
The outcome
We were pleased to negotiate a settlement with the debtor prior to the bankruptcy hearing – payment was subsequently received which resulted in the petition being dismissed.
